Seeking a Qualified and Experienced OB/GYN Physician


Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN) passionate about providing comprehensive women's healthcare in a growing community? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a dynamic healthcare setting near Bat Cave, NC. This ongoing locum tenens opportunity offers a blend of scheduled clinical hours and call responsibilities, starting as soon as possible (ASAP).


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to a diverse adult patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop effective treatment plans for a wide range of women's health concerns, including pregnancy care, menstrual irregularities, and pelvic floor disorders.

  • Perform a variety of obstetric and gynecologic procedures, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and other surgical interventions (depending on experience).

  • Manage labor and delivery with the support of midwives on weekdays.

  • Provide weekend call coverage to ensure timely care for patients in need.

  • Round on inpatients regularly, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

  • Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the McKesson and Athena electronic medical record systems.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology and participate in ongoing professional development activities.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) medical license is mandatory.

  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is mandatory.

  • Fellowship training in a relevant subspecialty (, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery) is preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical OB/GYN setting is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in obstetrics and gynecology.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, making critical decisions under time pressure.


Schedule:



  • Friday - Tuesday coverage is required each week, with a combination of scheduled clinic hours and call responsibilities.

  • Weekday call is shared with midwives for additional support.

  • Weekend call coverage requires the physician to be readily available for patient needs.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a clean medical malpractice history and verification through the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) to expedite credentialing.
