We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician with a specialization in Hematology and Oncology for a locum tenens position near Daleville, VA. Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:




  • Clinical Hours:



    • Work four shifts per week, with each shift lasting 8 to 10 hours, depending on patient volumes.

    • The average patient load is 12 to 15 patients per day, providing a steady and manageable workflow.




  • Call Coverage:



    • The role includes beeper-only call coverage for established patients, with an estimated call frequency of 2 to 5 calls per week. Call is light and conducted by phone only, ensuring minimal disruption to your schedule.




  • Clinical Requirements:



    • Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.

    • An active Virginia (VA) medical license is required, along with certifications in ABLS, ACLS, and BLS. PALS and ATLS certifications are not required.

    • Experience with the Aria EMR system is preferred for efficient documentation and patient management.




  • Practice Setting:



    • The position is exclusively outpatient, focusing on managing established patients in a well-supported oncology center.
