Locum Tenens Family Medicine Opportunity Near Atlanta, GA (Job ID: j-243976)


We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens position near Atlanta, GA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a team providing essential care to patients in an outpatient setting. The position is available immediately and is expected to continue through the end of the year.


Position Overview:

Responsibilities:




  • Outpatient Care:



    • Provide primary care services to patients of all ages.

    • Manage a patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day.

    • Perform routine check-ups, preventive care, and treatment for acute and chronic conditions.




  • Schedule:



    • Coverage is required Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

    • No inpatient or hospital/surgery center privileges required.

    • No rounding responsibilities.




Qualifications:



  • Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Family Medicine.

  • Licensing: Must hold an active medical license in Georgia.

  • Certifications Required:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.



  • Fellowship: Not required.

  • Hospital Privileges: Not needed.

  • Temporary Privileges: Not available.

  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 21 days.


Training and Requirements:



  • Epic Training:

    • Epic training sessions are scheduled every other week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

    • Training can only be completed after credentialing and must be finished before the provider can start.




Coverage Details:



  • Dates:

    • Coverage is needed from September through December.

    • Please provide availability for specific dates within this period.
