Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Opportunity near Grand Junction, CO

A healthcare facility in Western Colorado, near Grand Junction, is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment.   • December 6-7: 24-hour call and daytime shifts
  
  
  • January 6-19, various shifts
  
  
  • February 1-7: Full coverage

Job Requirements:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology: Required


• Colorado Medical License: Preferred; active DEA required


• Gastroenterology Fellowship: Required


• Experience: Must be comfortable handling 12-16 scopes per day and managing 10-15 patients per day in clinic.


• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC, with mandatory training requirements

Additional Information:

• Scope of Practice: Routine scoping, including EGD, colonoscopy, manometry, and 24-hour PH probes. Providers will work in a combination of clinic, ER, and inpatient settings.


• Support: Comprehensive support staff including MA, NP/PA, and RN.


• Call Coverage: Includes night and weekend 24-hour call shifts.


• Preferred Candidate: Experience in treating patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is preferred but not required.
