Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage general surgery cases including appendectomies, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, bowel obstructions, and trauma cases.


• Provide emergency call coverage.


• Support from 1st assists available for OR procedures.


• Respond to trauma cases within a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified in General Surgery (required)


• Active North Dakota medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)


• ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certifications (required)


• Clean malpractice and background records (preferred)


• Previous experience working in trauma settings


• Must be available for the scheduled dates


• COVID vaccination required

Credentialing Requirements:

• 60-day credentialing process


• Must provide case logs from the last 2 years


• Up-to-date CV including locums experience


• Clean sex offender background check required
