We are seeking a qualified General Diagnostic Radiologist for a locum tenens position near West Friendship, MD. This role involves providing essential radiological services on weekends, with a focus on diagnostic imaging. Position Overview:



  • Specialty: General Diagnostic Radiology

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: Ongoing

  • Shift Details: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM

  • Schedule: Weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday)


Work Details:




  • Coverage Needed:



    • Weekend evenings from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

    • Approximately 50 RVUs per shift, with varying scan types including x-rays, CT scans, some MRIs, and ultrasounds.




  • Patient Volume:



    • The role involves handling diagnostic radiology reads, including a broad spectrum of imaging types and patient ages.




  • Department Description:



    • The position is based in a Radiology Department within a 443-bed acute care hospital.




  • Practice Setting:



    • Hospital/Medical Center environment.




Requirements:




  • Board Certification:



    • Must be Board Certified in Radiology.




  • State License:



    • An active Maryland state license is required.




  • Certifications:



    • Must have a clean background to qualify for temporary or emergency privileges.




  • DEA:



    • DEA certification is not required for this position.
